Keytom is a digital financial institution that combines crypto accounts and a named EUR IBAN in one app: inbound and outbound transfers via SEPA, SEPA Instant, SWIFT and Fedwire, a built-in crypto-to-fiat exchange, and a virtual Visa card with automatic conversion at the point of payment. Legally it is not a bank: the service runs through two regulated entities — KEYTOM SERVICES LTD in Canada, registered with FINTRAC as a Money Services Business, and Keytom Solutions s.r.o. in the Czech Republic, which holds a VASP authorisation. Figures below come from keytom.com as of July 2026.
What the service is
Keytom positions itself as "one app for all your money" for individuals and businesses whose lives are split between fiat and crypto. The fiat side is a named EUR IBAN; the crypto side is accounts in BTC, ETH, USDC, XRP, TON, TRX and other assets (10+), with a built-in exchange between them. Unlike the classic neobanks in our neobank overview, crypto here is not a tolerated add-on but the core use case: the account can be funded in cryptocurrency or in fiat.
The model sits close to the crypto-friendly providers covered on the OTC desk page, such as FV Bank or EQIBank: the client gets banking rails plus crypto custody without leaving a single app.

The Visa card
The virtual card is issued in the app within minutes and is linked to the overall balance: at payment, crypto assets convert automatically, with no prior swap needed. Advertised limits reach $150,000 per transaction, with monthly limits in the millions; ATMs are supported. The card's BIN is of the credit type — that helps with car rentals and merchant deposits, but no borrowed funds are involved: only the client's own money is spent. As of July 2026 the physical card is marked as coming soon.
Licensing and protection of funds
The crypto and fiat services sit on two legal entities. KEYTOM SERVICES LTD is registered with FINTRAC as a Money Services Business under number M21788474 and operates under the PCMLTFA, which carries the full set of AML/ATF obligations: KYC, monitoring, reporting. The European side is covered by Keytom Solutions s.r.o. with a VASP authorisation in the Czech Republic; under the MiCA regime such authorisations are being converted into CASP status, and the current standing is best checked in the Czech National Bank register.
According to the company, client crypto assets are insured for up to $100M through Fireblocks infrastructure (underwritten by Marsh and Munich Re), while fiat is held in segregated accounts, legally separated from company assets. Banking infrastructure is built through licensed partners, with accounts opened mainly in the EEA (UK, Lithuania).
Onboarding and coverage
Account opening is fully online: a passport, ID card or residence permit plus a selfie. Individual verification takes from 1–2 hours up to 24 hours on business days; a business account takes up to 5 business days. Advertised coverage is 150+ countries; transfers to and from third parties (individuals and companies) span more than 180 countries. Cash is not accepted; salary credits and person-to-person transfers are allowed.
Compliance context
Formally the service opens accounts on a passport or residence permit from almost any country, but compliance decides individually: crypto inflows routinely trigger source of funds and chain-history requests. This is the same perimeter described on the OTC page: the cleaner the asset origin and paper trail, the more predictable the onboarding. Ruble transfers are not advertised.
Who it suits
Keytom works well as a "crypto to fiat to card/SEPA" operating rail for individuals with crypto income and for businesses that need a EUR IBAN with legal in-account crypto conversion. It is less suitable as a primary bank for large fiat balances (no deposit insurance) and as a private-banking substitute: there is no premium service, lending or investment products. For storing larger crypto holdings, institutional custody such as Fireblocks-based infrastructure or bank-grade custody like FV Bank is the more natural fit.
Q/A
Is Keytom a bank?
No. It is a digital financial institution: a Canadian MSB registration with FINTRAC (M21788474) plus a Czech VASP authorisation. Banking details are provided through licensed partners in the EEA.
Can a salary be paid into a Keytom account?
Yes. The named EUR IBAN accepts salary and personal transfers, including SEPA Instant. The only question is whether the employer accepts EMI-style account details — most do.
How is money protected?
Fiat sits in segregated accounts separated from company assets. Crypto assets are insured up to $100M through Fireblocks infrastructure (Marsh and Munich Re). There is no state deposit insurance.
How long does onboarding take?
An individual account takes minutes plus verification of 1–2 hours to one business day. A business account takes up to 5 business days, fully online. All that is needed is a passport, ID card or residence permit plus a selfie; cash is not accepted at any stage.
Does Keytom work with restricted nationalities?
Formally, opening is possible on a passport or residence permit from 150+ countries, and compliance decides case by case. Crypto inflows trigger source-of-funds and chain-history checks; ruble transfers are not advertised.
