Concept

Indosuez Wealth Management is the global wealth-management arm of the Crédit Agricole group, descended from Banque Indosuez (the 1975 merger of Banque de l'Indochine and Banque de Suez; part of Crédit Agricole since 1996). Type: a private bank inside a large mutualist group; the CA Indosuez holding sits within Crédit Agricole CIB. The unit's CEO is Jacques Prost (since 2018). It trades as CFM Indosuez in Monaco and Bank Degroof Petercam in Belgium (76.56% since 2024).

History and evolution

Some locations predate the group: Switzerland since 1876, Monaco since 1922. The single Indosuez Wealth Management brand dates to 2016. Recent expansion: the Bank Degroof Petercam acquisition in Belgium (June 2024), the absorption of Switzerland's Banque Thaler (merger completed 15 December 2025), the integration of Degroof Petercam's Luxembourg teams (July 2025) and the purchase of BNP Paribas Wealth Management's Monaco client book (completed 24 March 2026) — making CFM the Principality's leading bank. The Americas were exited: the Miami business went to Santander (2021), Brazil and Uruguay closed.

Assets under management reached €249bn at 30 June 2026; 2025 net income was €170m (+19.7%); over 4,300 staff across 15 territories.

Regulation

  • ACPR — CA Indosuez (Paris);
  • FINMA — CA Indosuez (Switzerland) SA (Geneva, Zurich, Lugano); its branches in Singapore (MAS, wholesale), Hong Kong (HKMA) and Dubai-DIFC (DFSA);
  • CSSF — CA Indosuez Wealth (Europe) with branches in Spain, Italy and Portugal;
  • ACPR / CCAF — CFM Indosuez Wealth Management SA (Monaco, the Principality's only listed bank, on Euronext Paris);
  • NBB / ECB — Bank Degroof Petercam SA (Brussels).

Source of funds and compliance

The segment-standard file applies: documented source of funds and source of wealth, CRS/FATCA. Dated episodes: an OFAC settlement (September 2022, $720k for the Swiss entity and $401k for CFM — sanctions episodes from 2011–2016, voluntarily disclosed) and an HKMA fine of HK$3.5m (November 2023) for continuous-monitoring lapses at the Hong Kong branch in 2016.

Who it serves

  • HNW clients: the only officially published threshold is the Luxembourg tariff — a discretionary mandate from €1m, private-equity advisory from €3m; for Switzerland industry estimates cite CHF 500,000+ (unofficial);
  • non-residents booking in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Monaco, Singapore or Hong Kong;
  • entrepreneurs — since January 2026 Indosuez Corporate Advisory, built with CACIB, advises owners on deals;
  • families with philanthropy plans — the Indosuez Foundation across six countries.

Services

Wealth management

  • discretionary and advisory management;
  • structured products (€6.3bn of production in 2024);
  • private markets above €10bn, including the Tiera Capital platform.

Lending

Infrastructure

  • family-office and external-asset-manager desks;
  • banking technology via Azqore (with Capgemini) and the Wealth Dynamix WealthTech platform (100% since November 2025).

Strengths

  • a full European booking map plus Asia — rare coverage for a mutualist-topped group;
  • aggressive consolidation: Degroof Petercam, Thaler and the BNP Monaco book within two years;
  • a strong private-markets and structured-products line;
  • proprietary technology (Azqore, Wealth Dynamix).

Where it does not fit

  • clients in the Americas — the perimeter is closed (Miami sold to Santander, Latin America wound down);
  • those seeking published thresholds for Switzerland and Monaco — only the Luxembourg tariff is public;
  • fortunes below ~CHF 500,000 (the unofficial Swiss benchmark);
  • portfolios centred on crypto assets — no dedicated offering.

Indosuez is Crédit Agricole's arm in expansion mode: a Belgian platform, Switzerland's Thaler and Monaco leadership assembled within two years; the weak spots are the closed Americas perimeter and minimal public thresholds.

Q/A

Entry and booking

What minimum capital does Indosuez require?

Only the Luxembourg tariff is officially published: discretionary management from €1m, private-equity advisory from €3m. For Switzerland industry references cite CHF 500,000+; France and Monaco publish no thresholds.

What did the BNP Paribas Monaco book purchase change?

The deal completed on 24 March 2026: BNP Paribas Wealth Management's Monaco clients moved to CFM Indosuez, making it the Principality's leading bank. For former BNP clients the servicing entity changes, not the account jurisdiction.

What does the deposit guarantee cover?

France and Monaco — FGDR €100,000; Switzerland — esisuisse CHF 100,000 (the Asian branches are outside cover); Luxembourg — FGDL €100,000; Belgium — the local fund €100,000. Custody securities remain the client's property.

Structure

How are Indosuez and Bank Degroof Petercam related?

Indosuez bought 76.56% of Belgium's Bank Degroof Petercam in June 2024; the Belgian brand is kept, while its Luxembourg teams were integrated into CA Indosuez Wealth (Europe) in July 2025.

Did Indosuez leave Asia?

No — the opposite: the Singapore and Hong Kong branches were strengthened (a new Singapore office opened in October 2025). What closed was the Americas perimeter: Miami sold to Santander in 2021 and Latin America wound down in 2021–2022.
