You can use the insurance policy via the Activa DKV app.

Virtual insurance card

To view the virtual insurance card, you need to:

  • Tap Tarjeta in the bottom menu
  • Select the Mi Tarjetas tab

More detailed information about the policy is available in the Ver Detalles section.

Cards of insured minor children can be found in the Otras tarjetas section.

Selecting a specialist and clinic

To find a specialist and a clinic, you need to:

  • Tap Medicos
  • If multiple insured persons are linked to the app, select the one requiring a specialist and tap Siguiente

Next, the following options will appear:

(a) Chat con un medico

In this section, you can request:

  • A prescription for medication

Once ordered, the prescription will be sent to your email. You can then take it to a pharmacy to receive the medicine.

  • A referral for tests

The referral will also be sent to your email. You can go to the lab the next morning for testing. Testing is done on a first-come, first-served basis.

It is not possible to take tests without a referral from a doctor.

(b) Buscar medico

This section is intended for finding a specialist.

To do this, you need to:

  • Select a specialist, city, and clinic name (if necessary)
  • Tap Mostrar médicos

After that, the address and phone number of the selected specialist or clinic will appear on the screen. Appointments can be made by phone or in person by visiting the clinic.

(c) Agendar Videollamada

This section allows you to book a video consultation without visiting a clinic.

During the video call, the doctor can prescribe treatment and send a prescription or test referral to your email.

Scheduling for advanced diagnostics

Documents

To schedule advanced diagnostics / surgery / rehabilitation, you need to submit a request to the insurance company.

To submit a request, you need one of the following documents:

  • Informe medico – a document stating the reason for the required procedure
  • Volante de clinica – a document with a reference number required by the insurance employee to process the request

Submitting the request

To submit a request, you need to:

  • Tap Gestiones – Solicitar autorización
  • Upload one of the documents listed above under Documents

Additional apps

The Activa DKV app may occasionally experience outages.

We recommend installing the backup app DKV QC+. This allows you to switch to the main app during periods of disruption.

Installing the DKV QC+ app

In the Activa DKV app, on the main screen, tap App QC+.

Tapping will automatically redirect you to the DKV QC+ app.

Using the DKV QC+ app

To switch to the main Activa DKV app from the DKV QC+ app, you need to:

  • Tap the health card icon in the upper left
  • Tap Activa DKV
